Great idea, but needs some fine tuning
Julia Sieck✓ Verified Purchase•November 26, 2017
Great concept, design needs some work.
Pros:
Holds a TON of spices. I thought there was no way it'd hold everything I had and I was wrong! I love the zillions of stickers they provide and the multiple shaker types. It's very sturdy (as long as you don't use the foam pads, see below) and looks great. It was shipped very securely.
Cons:
The jar lids aren't great (sort of sticky, not super easy to open/close) and it'd be even better if some of the sprinkle tops had an option to flip up to use with a spoon like lots of grocery store spices. The stand is MASSIVE and we took off the foam feet after we put them on because we felt like it made the whole rack unstable and wobbly (they were probably too thick). The holes are just flat so when you actually turn the item on its side, they don't really sit in there great like the smaller spice rack I used to have with angled slots. I don't like that I have to go out and buy a special pen to write on the labels for any spices I had that they didn't already have a sticker for. It's already super expensive and now I have to buy a white/silver pen since everything is black. They could've included a small pen and it would have been a huge help. If that was the only thing I was annoyed about it would be fine, but there's just a bunch of little things that I'd expect to be figured out when you're spending this kind of money on an empty spice rack.

Terrific Herb & Spice Organizer

Ok, the AllSpice spice rack is pricey, but it's worth every penny. (I told my husband he was buying it for me as an early Christmas present.) It's solid wood - no veneers - and comes in several wood species. It's extremely well-crafted, like a piece of furniture, and simply beautiful. I freed up 2 cabinet shelves and it makes the herbs and spices so easy to find. It comes with about 6 pages of pre-printed stick-on labels that you can stick on the spice bottle caps. If you have a special blend or an herb or spice not listed, the company will custom-make a label for you. After opening the box, I spent 2 happy hours washing bottles and caps and filling them. Ok, I'm a little OCD, so having all my herb and spice jars in alphabetical order and front & center on my counter is wonderful! The AllSpice large wooden countertop spice rack makes an excellent gift.
Herbs, spice, all quite nice and now, easily accessible too!

Finally, all my herbs and spices are organized in one place and are easily accessible. And I needed all 60 bottles plus back-ups. The cabinet is nicely built and sturdy. The black lid top labels with white writing are easy to read. The wide mouth bottles allow even a tablespoon measure to gain entry. There are plenty of extra labels and plastic shaker inserts. The packing was protective and mostly recyclable. Only two things I'd modify. I'd like to have amber bottles instead of clear to be more protective of the contents from light and it would be nice if the bottoms of the bottles had some sort of bracing to rest on when placed inside the rack In order to lay completely horizontal rather than angling slightly upwardward. That said, the rack is very nice and I'm happy with the purchase.
but ti totally serves my needs and looks great doing it

Very expensive, but ti totally serves my needs and looks great doing it. I absolutely love having so many bottle labels to choose from, plus some blank ones. My only issue is the tabs for the bottom are too small. I have mine rack on the counter next to the sink, were it is so easy to come into contact with spilled liquids. Instead, I used to large furniture caps which raise it just a bit above the counter surface.
Excellent. You won't find anything better.

This thing is outstanding! It holds 60 jars, which is much more than any other spice rack that I have found, so there is a lot of space for extra jars. Also, the jars are listed as 4 ounces, but I have found that they are larger than the average spice jar that you would get with other racks, so it seems to me that they might be larger than 4 ounces, and I just love it. After transferring my spices to the jars with this rack, I had only 3 or 4 containers that I purchased from the supermarket that I need to keep in my cupboard.
And AllSpice offers a custom set of labels that you can order for spices that aren't covered by the standard set. For instance, I have my own mix of Cajun blackening spices, and I ordered a custom set of labels for that and a number of other spices that I have. The customer service is excellent and timely, and they really provide personal service to their customers.
As for the rack itself, it is probably the best quality that I have ever had. Solid wood, as opposed to laminated materials that you would get with less expensive racks, and very well constructed.
This rack is not cheap. You will pay a pretty penny for it, but you will get excellent quality, and it will last for the rest of your life. Unless you are basically like a professional chef who needs every spice under the sun, this rack will meet all of your needs and you will never need to buy another.
