High quality product as expected of Park Tools. One star off, for the price as it really should include the plastic base in the box instead of as an additional $50 extra, if you can even find it in stock.
Glad I bought it

Having a solid stand to true wheels has saved me plenty of frustration. The build quality is fantastic. Can't really speak to the price, I would imagine there are cheaper ones that would work as well, I'm just boujee.
Excelente herramienta

I waited to the ripe, old age of almost 70 to finally get this. I figure now God has to let me live at least another ten years to justify the investment. I also bought the centering tool and spoke tension meter.
The arms are not perfectly centered. Off about 1.2 mm. Park said it is good enough. I don't have any perfectly centered wheels and might get the alignment tool but maybe not.
It doesn't stand on it's own so I have it in a vise. I returned the plastic base (ordered separately) as it was warped.
And the welds! I just can't stop staring at the beautiful welds.

It is the best commercially available Truing Stand available handsdown.

Indispensable if you like to build or true wheels. Worth the money spent. Save money truing and tensioning your own wheels and it will pay for itself after 5 pairs of wheels. It is common here in NYC to charge $40-$65 per wheel for an accurate tension and truing of a wheel/rim. And you have to drop them off and wait many times. The cheaper brands may work for some. But you can get wheels to within .5mm true vertically and laterally no problem with this Park Tool model a lot better and faster. Start with Youtube on The Park Tools channel. And they will show you how to use it.
The Model 2.2P is Blue powder coated vs the Chrome plated model (2.2). It comes at a lower price as a result. Just not chrome. No difference in functionality. I have used many different types and brands. I only recommend this one. Yes it seems costly. But it really is not, if you are a avid rider. Wheels can be expensive to replace and are an expendable item in the cycling world. Wheels make the biggest impact for a nice ride. Keep your wheels true and they last longer. I rarely give 5 stars for a review. But this item deserves it. It is a staple item for my work.
