Stren High Impact Fishing Line
I bought this line for leader and for two ultra light casting rod and reels I want to use this year for panfish and local evening fishing around the area. It is plenty strong for it's size and weight rating and it comes off the spool without coiling like so many monofilament lines will. The big reel of this line will last me almost forever using it like this and the knots stay tied. I started using Stren Monofilament when I was young as cheap tippet on the Big Horn River and I can't remember any problems with it breaking or coming untied. The price is right in this high dollar fishing industry. Seldom will any new products come out these days, where they charge you a payment to buy it. Not me in regard to something as simple as buying a spool of fishing line. You may not agree but that's OK with me, as I have already learned a lesson or two. Four stars just so Stren doesn't get a big head.

For my moments of wishful thinking

I know there are some lunker catfish in our lake. My 8 pound test is perfectly adequate for most of what I catch. But sometimes I leave my pole unattended, with the bait sitting on the bottom. I got 20 pound test line for those times. I have always liked Stren. This line has good strength yet not much memory and it lies limp. Suits me fine.
The line is a little thicker than I hoped and not as sensitive

I like the price of it but the line was thicker and less sensitive to feeling the fish. But for the price, you get what you pay for. I would spend the extra money and get the higher grade line. But it you don't care about that it is what it says it is.
