This bike should be a wonderful addition to the exercise room. There are not many recumbent bikes out there, and very few good ones. For those of us with back or leg issues, the recumbent position is much less taking than the standard exercise bike. I thus really wanted and needed to like this bike.
It took only about half an hour for two people to put this together out of the box. We followed the instructions as carefully as possible. It looked fairly sturdy as set up. And it worked flawlessly---for ten minutes. After ten minutes, a horrible noise and grinding started within the mechanism, and the bike became very difficult to use.
We looked and tried to loosen/tighten/undo/redo the assembly. But no luck. This bike really just does not work well. I am very bummed as I had high hopes for this bike

Essentially, you get what you pay for with the Marcy Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bicycle. For approximately $125.00, this exercise machine is well under the average market price. Unfortunately, the exercise bicycle is incredibly uncomfortable. The seat is quite hard, and the pedal straps often detach. Even at a low speed the bicycle is loud, the 'whirring' noise is distracting. However, there are two positive aspects of the Marcy Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bicycle. One, the display (for time, distance, speed, and calories) is helpful and fairly accurate. Two, there are eight different resistance settings on the bicycle.
I would recommend the Marcy Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bicycle to others looking for a reasonably priced exercise machine.

This was an amazing addition to my weight room. It is stable and we'll built, and you can watch mph/km, minutes, calories, and more. I love mind and use it at least 5 times a week. This is perfect for legs and core workout, plus endurance.
Decent Choice For the Price - Assembly Required

This is a decent recumbent bike for the price. I paid much more for one of the name brand ones which is very sturdy and has lasted years with no issues. It is not the quality of that but you get what you pay for. If you want a functioning workout bike on a budget, this is a reasonable option. Some people have complained about the comfort of the seat. That's something I don't find comfortable on any of these recumbent bikes. Even on my expensive one, I have to put a pillow behind my back. I'm short so I can comment about how well it works for tall people but it works fine for me. Please note that you have to assemble this. I hate assembly but have put together many major pieces of workout equipment so this was not a big deal, just an annoyance but how all equipment comes today. There are several workouts from which to choose and it meets my basic needs for getting my legs moving and my heart rate up. If you are looking for a bike on a budget, this is one to consider.
