My 80lb boxer loves this toy. It looked a little small when I got it but It is the large size and it works. He doesn't tear apart tuffy toys as he will tear apart any other stuffed toy. He's 8 yrs old so doesn't lead as a destructive life as he did when he was a puppy. He will still eat sandals and box corners if we leave them around and leave him alone too long.
Fabric Bursting Strength an Issue

Well, I was hoping this would be TUFF, but it tore at the fin on the first day. I work in the textile business - the tear was caused because the toy was overstuffed to the point of seam breakage and fabric bursting. The additional pressure of a dog biting cause it the bursting strength to give out. It was so overstuffed, that I couldn't find the squeaker until a pulled all the stuffing out to prevent my dog from eating it. This is now a deflated tuffy toy. I will likely buy this brand again, but I will stay away from anything with too man appendages.

Tuffy toys are the best we have ever found, and amazon has great prices and options for really cool sizes.
And they have numbers ranking the durability of the toys, I think this was a 6 or a 7.

These have held up really well "“ two months now since they got the fish and trout. The problem for my 12 and 22 pound dogs are the squeakers. The covers are thick and stiff and the squeakers unusually small. As hard as they try, it's almost impossible for them to get noise out of them. I don't get a decent squeak out of most of them myself. So, though they like them, they never got quite as excited as they have with some other new toys. Certainly part of the reason for the longevity is they don't stay engaged as long when playing on their own. However, plush animals are about the only thing they like to play fetch with and the density of these make them good to throw. Having long-lasting toys for fetch and tug of war is well worth it.

Well, at first glance the toy sounds indestructible! When it arrived the quality and durability matched the description, however 45 minutes later my dog found all the weak points, all that remained was the carcus (picture shown) of my hopes and dreams for finding a "plush" toy which would hold up to the monster that is my dog. I would recommend this toy if your dog enjoys cuddling with soft sea creatures. To be fair, my dog tends to find all toys weak points... He should be a toy tester.
