Okay, i wrote a review before, & now im writing another. I had mine for about a month & now its started to let off a burning/gas smell. I woke up around 4am with my boyfriend while he was going to work & I smelt it. When your in a room for so long, you get used to the smell so sometimes you don't notice but I'm pregnant & I noticed immediately. After my boyfriend left the room for about 5 minutes & came back, he noticed it too. I had to empty my fridge & unplug it. Can anyone give me answers? I don't want that fridge to just go to waste.

AMAZING. I order it on the 10th and received it on the 14th and that's with free shipping. :) The fridge cooled within an hour and it's very quiet. I ordered this from OJ Commerce on 03/09/2018. My refrigerator arrived early. It was very well packaged. I waited for awhile to post a review because I wanted to give it time to see if it worked well. It is very quiet (it does make a little bit of noise when it cycles on, but every refrigerator does, and it is not very loud). It keeps my beverages, sauces, and meats very cold. The interior is extremely well designed and the shelves and door slots are very sturdy! I am extremely happy with my Danby 1.7cuft compact refrigerator. I showed it to my son and he is seriously considering purchasing one too. All of my family and friends are very impressed with the design and workmanship, as am I. Excellent compact fridge that I would highly recommend.

After going thru 2 Avanti refrigerators that did not work, I ordered the Danby 1.7 cu. ft. unit. It arrived a couple of days ago. Plugged it in and it fired right up. As recommended, I set it to max. A couple of hours later it was registering 14 degrees. Set it back to about 3/4 and it registered 34. Filled it up and it still ended up at 34. Turned it down some more. Want it about 38 - 40. Love having no freezer which would only ice up. The only negative I can see is, that in their wisdom, read stupidity, they put the temperature control in the back of the unit instead of inside it. The unit is going on a shelf under a counter, which places the control out of reach. They indicate in their advertising that the control is mechanical. Maybe that is the reason it is in the back. Hopefully, the unit will hold its setting once I get it where I want it. If it does not hold its temperature, I will be changing this review drastically.

Once I got in contact with the companies CS and emailed the receipt to the right address it was a pretty quick process. they reviews asked me to take a couple pictures of the old device, cut the cord (take a picture of that) and they would send a new one. that showed up and it works great. I likely just had bad luck. This one is exactly what I wanted, keeps things cold, looks good and seems to be a solid purchase. I'll leave off one star for the previous issue (which you can read about below)

I was pretty excited to have a mini fridge under my desk at work. I plugged it it threw a few water bottles in there and when I came back the next day they were completely frozen. I thawed them out and turned the fridge down to low power. Froze again. The next day the fridge no longer worked, it draws power but doesn't get cold no matter what setting I have it on. I got sent on a multi week business trip and figured I would return it when I came back. Sadly I missed the one month return deadline for Amazon. I've been dealing with the manufacturer and the warranty. They seemed good at first. Asked me to send a proof of purchase and my claim number. Been a week and haven't heard back despite multiple emails. I'll call next week.

I could have gotten a bad unit so I will update this once I have some solution from the manufacturer.
