The perfect addition to my beautiful contractor saw ! The installation is not to bad pretty much anyone that is handy can get it done. I bought a portable band saw from Harbor Freight to cut the tube and rails myself and it worked beautiful. I painted the ends after cutting and deburring with black enamel paint. The cuts were very straight and i suggest you get a 24 tooth blade for the band saw, the one that comes with the bandsaw is for wood or aluminum.
Very happy with the finished product and total SawStop quality. By the way I paid $78.00 for the bandsaw thinking that i would just through it away when finished, Not so, that band saw is awesome you will want to keep it.
If you have a outfeed table from saw stop you will not be able to use it unless you modify it The slots will no longer line up.

One more thing i forgot to mention the extension table i had a problem with. You need to find a washer to fit in the slot behind the bolt head. I striped out the bolts that hold it in place and had to retap them. I placed a washer behind the bolt head that fit the slot and that fixed the problem.

Take in mind i did this by myself if you have someone hold the extension table while you tighten the bolts it might help.

I personally think the extension table should be much more user friendly to move without a wrench to lossen the bolts and move it. In sawstop defense you probably will never move it but if you need to cut at an angle that requires support its a hassle to move it. I think some screws like they have for every thing else would be more appropriate and much mor user friendly.
The bolts need bigger heads to fit in the track!

All in all i am very happy though and i hope this helps to understand this new saw stop option.

It's very accurate and operates smoothly. I use it for cross cutting and ripping large sheets of plywood.

I make a lot of walnut book cases (7 foot tall with 6 shelves). The Sawstop sliding crosscut table attachment is perfect for cutting 4x8 sheets of walnut veneer plywood with. I have everything mounted on a PCS 52 inch saw which rides on the ICS mobile mounting (with the hydraulic cylinder lift). Read the instructions very carefully when you assemble this at it covers all of the many combinations of saws and the many ways that it can be assembled. I choose the full four foot slide since I have the space in my shop to accommodate the overall size. As always, the Sawstop quality is exceptional. Sawstop listens to their customers and added fixed detents on the compass which apparently were missing on earlier versions.

Best purchase ever. I don't need my panel saw anymore. This thing can crosscut an entire 4x8 sheet. I just wish it had 0 degree stops.

Really nice slider and very robust aluminum extrusions. I have found a few quirks but they have been minimal and somewhat nit picky.
One of the quirks is the absence of any 0/90 detent on the protractor head to return to after making angle cuts. You have to pull out a square and
realign it with the blade. My last slider, shop fox, had one and it worked pretty well too bad the slider itself was of poor construction.
This slider is also much larger than that of the Grizzy/Shop Fox model and the way the fence locks to the table is a vast improvement over those as well. This slider also has the option to leave on your left hand extension wing and not cut the fence tube, but that puts you a pretty good distance away from the blade, I opted to cut the fence tube for my set up as I rarely cut to the left of the blade.
Over all it is worth the investment, although the price point is a bit high.
