My husband had surgery and needed crutches for six weeks. We live in the country, with gravel roads from road to barns, etc..The standard tips wore thru before we hit the two week mark. Purchased these and they are still perfect even though he is done using the crutches. These tips also helped with balance and made walking easier. I highly recommend.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing, and was a little concerned if the weight of them would be too much, and if I would get these tips caught, such as under doors. I have found that the weight of them is not too bad-that it actually helps to provide a little more stability. They do have a tendency to get caught under doors, and I had issues with them catching on the lip of stairs. But I quickly learned to adjust where I placed the crutch and had no further issue. I love these, as it has helped me feel much more secure and stable. I also like the thickness of the bottom...the tips that came on the crutches when I got them allowed the pole part to break through in 2 days. These seem like they will definitely hold up much longer.
