I really tried to read through all the various versions of this to AVOID the plastic Mylar-ish feel of offered book covers. Love the ability to customize to the width of the book, but it's crinkly and oversized height wise. They will do the job but on nicer books I'd like a higher quality option.

These book covers by ClearBags are great. I've ordered and used several different sizes, for different sized books. Very easy to put over the cover, and the adhesion can be adjusted in case you need to change anything. These may not have the same durability as library-grade Mylar (I've also tried Brodart just-a-fold covers) but for what I need, and the price point, this meets my needs. I will also add that these ClearBag brand covers cover the top and bottom edges of the actual book. The Mylar I've tried does not.
Highly recommended! I've included a few pictures of hardcover books I've covered recently, and I noted both the book and cover dimensions. Two have dust jackets, one does not.

darn, i got for my 7 3/4" paperbacks and any left over for my 7 1/2" paperbacks and the covers are too big. they fit the 8" paperbacks perfectly. now, i dont know if labelled incorrectly and reorder the same or order smaller to fit better the books i want to cover.
hello, rereading the product description it DOES read 8 x 14 clear book covers for books 7 3/4" tall, etc. well, THAT is TRUE! actually, it fit my 8" tall books perfectly, so, now im ordering the 7 3/4 x 15 for the books that are 7 1/2" BUT to use on the books that are 7 3/4" inches high. i have alot of books that are alot of different sizes so im pretty confident ill manage to use all the covers and just tape them a bit if they are too large.
i guess what seller wants to do is make sure the covers fit even if a little large. i would suggest they just need to explain a little better so buyers can make a more informed choice. im adding a star:)

I rarely give 5 star ratings but these book protectors deserve it. Very easy to install and feel good while reading the book. Just a tad on the flimsy side but work well enough. One thing to note is that when ordering, it is done by book size and not perceived needed cover size.
