There are many size options to choose from, but only a few different sizes of covers. For example, if you have an 11 1/8 " book, (or 11 1/4", or 11 1/2") you're going to get an 11 3/8" cover that sticks up quite a bit over the top of the book.
Don't trust all the sizes they list, look at the dimensions of the cover itself in the product description.
Also, these covers are fine for everyday use to protect a book from dust and such while in storage or sitting on a shelf. If the book is going back and forth to school, bounced around in a book bag, etc, sure, it will protect the book for a short while, but you may need a new cover after a week. This material is not designed for any degree of abuse - the plastic tears too easily. Even the manufacturer site says so at Clearbags (dot)com.

These book covers by ClearBags are great. I've ordered and used several different sizes, for different sized books. Very easy to put over the cover, and the adhesion can be adjusted in case you need to change anything. These may not have the same durability as library-grade Mylar (I've also tried Brodart just-a-fold covers) but for what I need, and the price point, this meets my needs. I will also add that these ClearBag brand covers cover the top and bottom edges of the actual book. The Mylar I've tried does not.
Highly recommended! I've included a few pictures of hardcover books I've covered recently, and I noted both the book and cover dimensions. Two have dust jackets, one does not.

My school book measures 11 1/4. I ordered 25x 11 1/2, which in itself is a ridiculous number of covers for 1 book. The sticker on the package says for books 11 1/4 tall, but covers for books 8 1/4 tall were inside. I returned and reordered. Hoping the issue will be solved by then. I added 2 stars for having received the correct size the second time around. I'll be back for durability rating sometime in the future.
