As if mentioned in other reviews I'm always looking for ways to save money and energy/resources. I noticed we were the kind of family going through a lot of napkins as well as paper towels as we would all be quick to grab one to wipe our own chin or our daughter's at meal time.
These aren't anything for fancy occasions as after you wash them the are very basic looking. However, I only bought them for everyday use and they work very well. Absorbent enough to get the job done at meal time.
We throw into wash with other whites, towels, and bleach. Ready to go again.....and haven't had to make another run to the store for a huge thing of paper towels. So far so good.

Now, mind you, at first I was a bit taken aback. These are a heavier weave than the soft, pretty ones I have purchased before at World Market. OH, THAT'S RIGHT, THOSE ONES ALSO DIDN'T HOLD UP! These actually are like a true linen napkin. Want a lovely, bright white? Done. Want a napkin that survived a red wine stain that wasn't discovered for two days ( ...okay, give me a break, it was hiding...) Done. And they come in a lovely roll so all I had to do was to unroll them and put them out for the "Downton-Abbey-Esque" rehearsal dinner I was putting on (thank goodness).
AND, I don't care what they want to say, paper napkins will never, never, never be as cool as real napkins. Not to mention cost! Buying from Atlas in bulk (because you know you husband is going to inevitably use one for cleaning something in the shop...don't get me started...) will not only make you look chic, it will save you money in the long run. Added bonus? Throw the next book club meeting and use these instead of paper..."oh, that's just how we do things here..." Ba, ha, ha! Fabulous!

Pretty good quality napkins for the price. It should be noted that, in my case at least, out of the 48 I bought, 39 of them measured only 19 1/4 inches on a side and only 3 measured over 20 inches long on any side. None were exactly square, though that is typical in commercial cotton napkins of this sort and not a deal breaker for me as a buyer.
It would have been nice if the stated 21 x 21 size was a bit more closely held to in the making of these napkins. A consistent nearly 2" undersize error in each dimension is a pretty large variance from the standard.
