Good little instrument for the price.

I never played the ukulele before, so I'm no expert.... I've had it 2 weeks now.
Looks really cute....
It was easily tuneable with the help of a digital tuner. Some people complain it doesn't stay in tune. But... a bit of research will tell you that the strings are new, and need to stretch, so no problem there.
One of the reasons I bought this uke out of the many options, was because it comes with Aquila strings, which seem to be a better option than most. Many reviews on different similar-priced instruments said they actually changed to Aquila strings for a better sound.
I've been plinking away for 2 weeks now, can get a couple of chords, and thoroughly enjoying it.

Great Kids Uke, Inexpensive First Uke or Travel Uke

I have eight ukuleles in all price ranges and sizes. Including a dolphin bridge Makala that I keep for visiting kids and irresponsible adults to play. I wanted to buy another to give as a 13th birthday present since I knew it could handle being tossed in a book bag and played roughly but with good strings could still be played nicely, easily. (Which is key - playing a bad instrument is frustratingly hard.)
Read the reviews and decided to take a chance on this instead. Sooo thrilled and surprised with the results. I bought it a week early so I could change strings and play enough to get them to hold tune but it already comes with Aquila strings standard not the cheap flimsy black toy strings on most at this price point. Took the normal 4 days of playing to get stretched enough to keep tune through a full session. Very sweet, authentic soprano Uke sound. Intonation is much better than expected up the neck per electric tuner.
The shipping box was so cute I kept it for the packaging just added a huge burlap bow. The Snark tuner I got to go with fit perfect under the neck so forget buying a different all in one package for a gift, just make your own with this Uke.
She loved the gift and at this price point I think I'm going to get myself a second one in orange for keeping in the car this summer. (4 stars because there were minor cosmetic flaws in the paint. )

Perfect for beginners

I decided to learn ukulele and this was perfect for a beginner like me and for the price, too. I love the sound and it keeps the tune well as long as you play it often (like most stringed instruments). I just need to keep practicing.
Excellent beginner ukulele!!

I was very surprised when u received this ukulele. The carrying case it came with isn't one for protecting it but is useful. The ukulele itself has a nice finish to it, doesn't look like a toy. The strings are Aquila Super Nyglut and they are amazing as have a good feel/sound , I wasn't disappointed. For such a cheap price , this ukulele is amazing for those starting out or practicing. It's not super high quality sound and finish , but it still looks good and sounds really well. Recommend to anyone! Great ukulele
Tough little Uke!

I bought this ukulele to teach my 3 year old nephew how to play, or at least try to. Lol. He has always shown an interest in my guitars and grabs at them constantly when I have them out, so I thought this might be a cool way to introduce him to an instrument without handing him a guitar that's bigger than he is. Lol. Well, I was right, because he took an immediate liking to it. He ran around with it until nap time and that's when it became a gift for both of us. I wasn't trying to turn his gift into a music lesson just yet, but I did teach him how to somewhat hold it and strum, so that the notes rang out. Although, I did end up having to give him an old strap for it because he did NOT want to sit down and play. Lol. The best thing about this ukulele is that it stayed in tune despite the beating my nephew put on it. I mean, he ripped at the strings like a madman, banged it against every wall in the house, and once even hit it on the floor like an out of control rockstar, but it stayed in tune the entire time. Lol. And didn't even have a scratch on it! All I did before I gave it to him was stretch the strings, tune it up, play it a bit, and repeat. I did this about five or so times until the strings started settling in. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone considering a first time ukulele for a child.
