I purchased this light when I got my house last fall, but didn't install it until the beginning of summer. The warm white light was pretty dim and the white light wasn't the best look but it worked fine enough. This light wasn't really a dusk til dawn light. It only seemed to work when it is very dark. After a few months the light did not seem to work or it would work one day and then stay off the rest off the next. I contacted Gama Sonic who sent me a replacement top. After installing it per instructions this light also did the same thing. I contacted Gama Sonic and they told me to contact Amazon. I told them they had a two year warranty so I should be speaking to them. I contacted Amazon and they were kind to me. I returned this light for a refund.

Received this item in good condition. It is a bit darker than the photo shows. It is more of an oil rubbed bronze color which matches our house nicely. The light is of good quality and is super easy to install on a light post or pillar. Literally takes five minutes to install. Some purchasers may not be aware that there is a power switch under the top/cover of the lamp. There are two small screws that secure the top to the rest of the fixture. Remove these, turn the top over and see the power switch. It should be in the off position at the time of purchase. You can turn it on low (softer, more yellow light) or high (brighter, whiter light.) I installed my light in a location that received direct afternoon sun and left the power off for two days to let it charged, as recommended in the instructions. After two days, switched to the low position and the light worked beautifully. For our front yard pillar, the low power position emits plenty of light. The light automatically went on at dark (around 9:50 p.m.) It was off at 5 a.m. (still dark) so not sure how long it stays on but seems to be fewer than seven hours.

Loved them, easy to install, light is ideal and two settings mean you can have both warm and bright light. I used mine on pillars at front of house so used the pier mounting. All I needed was a masonry drill bit and that was that. They look great and arrived quickly. Highly recommend....update, now that the summer is over they are only staying lit for 2 hours, they are out by 6.30pm in the evening. Don't know if they are defective or just terrible in low light. I am in southern California so plenty of light during the day.

Overall appearance is great but functionality is not so hot I installed it on my porch in full sun light and it has yet to stay lit all night on overcast days it is out by midnight I was going to purchase 4 of these but with the $80 price tag and the poor performance I will be looking elsewhere

I replaced a simlar Gama Sonic light post light that had dimmed then quit working after several years with this one. It is fairly new yet, but so far much brighter and I prefer the design over my previous version. I have high hopes for this and hoping it lasts.
