Great office chair

A very comfortable chair, and different enough not to look "officy" in my rather retro office. I did replace the cylinder with a longer one so the seat will reach to 22 inches, rather than 20 inches, a must for any office chair if you have long legs. The rollers seem to work fine on the carpeted floors, the back is airy and yet molding enough to feel like you are getting the proper amount of support.
No way

chair is really stiff and uncomfortable. The back is to low causing severe neck pain. The seat is also really hard. No support.
A great medium quality chair for short people~

The Sayl chair by Herman Miller is a work of art. The quality is very high and you can tell it will last throughout the warranty.
Pros:
Just as much form as function
Slanted cushion increases blood flow
Talking point
Arm height keeps back straight
Cons:
Manufacturing date over a year old
The plastic mesh is a little discomforting
Absolutely not a chair for tall persons (photo attached of five foot eleven male)
You can see at 5 foot 11 the chair digs directly into shoulder blades
Standard casters not for hardwood (Featured photo with OfficeSkates)

Very Poor Quality

We bought two of these chairs. On both of the chairs, the armrests fell apart within 12 months. They are made of cheap foam rubber over a too short piece of plastic, which does not support the foam rubber all the way. Thus, the front end of each armrest first cracks and then falls off. Such an obvious design flaw.
An expensive, squeaky missed opportunity

Returning the chair. After two weeks, the chair has an audible squeak every time you adjust your position in it. Two weeks! The chair arrived dirty, so I wouldn't be surprised if this were used before and returned. For this price and being a Herman Miller, this should have provided great support for years. Avoid!
