Great little toy for my 12 month old!
E Casper•August 13, 2016
My 12 month old boy just loves this. Every time he runs off with my phone or his mom's phone I simply take the phone back and hand him his toy phone. He seems to understand that this one is his, even though it's not as fancy as a real cell phone (obviously).
Once or twice the phone got stuck in what seemed like an endless loop playing music and going back and forth doing its thing. It's probably because my boy pushes 500 buttons at once. If this happens to you simply pull the batteries out, let it sit for a few minutes, then put them back in.
When my boy is getting up set going through the toy box, I know it's because his phone is switched off and he is trying to tell me he wants it on!

Bought this Cell phone toy for my friend's son and he loves it. It has a touch screen that lights up red when you touch it and sings different educational and cute songs. Would recommend this for any kid who is addicted to mommy or daddy's phone.
Vtech wins!

Seriously, I love this thing. We bought my son this because he will not leave our phones alone. So now it he grabs it, we just give him his own and he's satisfied enough to not chomp all over ours! I do wish the plastic was a bit softer because we all know babies put everything in their mouths, but that's my only complaint. This is a fun interactive toy that I think he will enjoy for a while! We have already bought more than one of these because a short three foot drop onto the wooden floor broke the toy, but I would buy another one even if it happens again. This keeps my kid entertained longer than any other toy he has ever interacted with, and he is currently while I am writing this review 9 months old. Every time we turn it on and go to hand it to him he gets a HUGE grin on his face and reaches out for it! You can even program the Vtech Touch and swipe phone with your home number so that when baby presses that button,it will say your number to them. I love this feature because it's helping them at an early age learn how to contact mom or dad when they need to. The screen lights up when you touch it, and whatever "button" you press on the screen also talks along and says what you press. (IE' press 1 and hear it say 1!)
This phone even has fun interactive built in games for baby to play, and the music is cute.

Bummer, not worth it

This product worked only for a few weeks and then it was stuck on the same annoying 3-5 second musical chime. We weren't even using it everyday--in fact, we'd only used it on four (!) different occasions. Wanted to return it but just missed the return window. So frustrating. I should have known when I opened it because it looks and feels pretty cheap...
I was looking for a phone like a samsung galaxy phone for my son to play ...

I was looking for a phone like a samsung galaxy phone for my son to play with. If your kids are used to playing with your phone, this will not really keep them entertained this is too basic for them. You can press the buttons on the screen and they light up and make noise and you can even swipe (but you have to use the slider) Its good for kids who are not used to a real smart phone. Not sure it would be a great learning tool as you cant really hear what they are saying easily. BUT if your kids like pushing buttons and seeing lights then yes this is a great toy for them
