Don't buy the cheaper brand portage bags. GG is well worth your $. I refer to this gear as "˜life gear'. Buy one and it will last your entire life. You can actually feel the durability in this bag. Superior stitching, fabric and construction. Backpack system is unbelievable, can withstand extreme loads without any indication you are pressing the bags limits. Highly recommended

Good pack. Too big (tall) for the my 5' 9" frame to double-pack in front. Has all the features I needed, and it is tough. I really like the wide range of size that the adjustments allow. Sometimes you have bulky stuff to carry, and sometimes you have smaller, denser items. It distributes the load well.
