Wow!!!!! This pack is IT! It is everything!
Surprisingly sturdy

I used the pack (with lid) for two four-day backpacking trips in the Cascade Mountains so far. It is surprisingly sturdy, packs very well (i.e. it doesn't assume an amorphous blob-shape like another lightweight pack I own) and carries comfortably. Straps and outside pockets are well designed. The total packed weight on both trips was just under 30 pounds (as recommended). I have not tried it with more packed weight, but I believe that exceeding the 30 pound limit might stress the support system too much.

Loving this pack so far. Its super light at 2.2 lbs. A less expensive alternative to ZPacks and Hyperlite. This backpack has one top opening; so if you know how to pack properly, you may prefer this style of backpack. I like this pack because of the simplicity offered compared to more traditional packs. There is no sleeping bag compartment or u-shaped zippers that open from the bottom, just one large compartment accompanied by some mesh pockets. I really like the MOLLE style hipbelts, so you can put whatever you want on your hipbelt including pockets. Tool loops are nice: I can fit my trekking poles on one side and another tool such as a snow shovel or ice axe on the other.
In conclusion, if your looking for an affordable light weight hiking pack with a total gear weight of ~30lbs or less, this is a pack you need to look at. Only downsides is there is only two sizes regular and tall. But the new Crown2 is coming out soon which may have more sizes.
Thank you Granite Gear and Backcountry Edge. Great Service!

Very lightweight and comfortable. I wish it has a separate compartment for my sleeping bag at the bottom.

This is by far the best backpack i've ever owned, and I've had a few ! Extremely comfortable and a great fit. Recently used this on the Northville-Placid Trail with a 25lb load and it was like i had nothing on my back ! Awesome !!!
