I mixed it up a little bit and switched from making my trusty creme de menthe triple layer brownies and made a batch of raspberry cream triple layer brownie. My raspberry plant was being productive but the day I made them my dog had pilfered a majority and I was in a time crunch. I tried a small amount of this (in addition to some lemon and orange juice in the icing mix) and it made a really good raspberry layer, half a cup of red raspberries and a tsp of this extract. It was overly acrid in taste and was pleasant.

This item has a deeper, richer flavor than other raspberry flavorings. My raspberry flavor of choice when actual berries are impractical or unavailable. Add to coffee with chocolate flavor for a bold flavor evoking memories of Black Forest cake (which, yes, has strawberries or cherries, typically).
Makes a great additive to coffee.
