We have several Black & Decker power tools and have been very pleased. However, this sander is very disappointing. It twas used only twice to sand some chairs before painting, and the finger attachment came off. Now we can't get the finger attachment or the one designed for the tip to stay on. Also, like other reviews stated, the dust attachment collects a little of the dust; most is on the floor. Very disappointed in this product. I would look for another product for detail sanding. A waste of money.

I would have given this sander a 5-star review because I was absolutely in love with how well it sanded and how great the finger attachment was at sanding hard to reach spots. Within the first half-hour of use, the plastic area around the finger attachment screw broke apart which left it impossible to re-attach either the finger or the triangle section at the top of the mouse sander. Amazon immediately send to me a new sander. The same thing happened with the second sander. Due to illness I was not able to use second sander until last night, it broke (exact same way even though I was being extra gentle and careful to avoid this situation). I tried to schedule a return of the item today and found my 30-day window closed yesterday- so now I'm stuck with a worthless sander because without being able to attach anything at the top of the sander it makes more sense to use my orbital sander for all projects. If I did something wrong I wish Amazon or B&D could have helped me with that problem because if this sander worked properly without breaking I think it might have become my very favorite tool in my entire wood shop! I would have rated it 5 stars and insisted to everyone I know that they also purchase one!

I had mixed reviews about buying this but I wanted to hurry up and finish my project. I am a DIY girl but have never used one of these types of tools before but this tool was perfect for my project and types of projects i'll need for the future since I love buying vintage pieces and restoring them.
If you're looking to refurbish a dresser that has some scratches or even want to remove paint to repaint this is a tool you can definitely use. However, for $40 I wouldn't expect it to do a professional carpenters job. Some people have to high expectations for that price point. With that being said again, this tool did more that I expected and was very powerful. It was work.. Had it been stronger it would have sanded too much so don't take my statement about price lightly.

Used once and the tip of the mouse came off. This is completely unacceptable for the price. I would like this to be refunded or replaced.

The rest of the sander appears to be built fairly well but I am still in disbelief at how this happened.

Not a fan - finally got around to the project I bought it for. First the dust cstcher broke. It got loose, then started falling off mid sand, then the little piece of plastic holding it together broke. It started vibrating loudly, jolting out of my hand. The pieces started pulling apart, and it started overheating to the point I was worried I would get a burn. Also, you can not buy replacement sheets at home depot or lowes. You have to order on amazon or buy a small pack at target. Im just buying another sander to finish the job.
