tried other staple removers which bent or cracked...so far this has been the best...may need to dig a little for those deeply embedded staples but I love this tool! occasionally have had to use another pair of pliers if staple breaks, but you can really dig in with this tool and get those staples out. doing our first reupholstery project of a love seat and this has been invaluable during the deconstruction process.
