Diaphragm failure leaking through overflow tube

Failed within 18 hours of usage! Installed near the end of the season, stored tractor for winter and only mowed a few times before it failed. Copious amounts of gas are pouring from the overflow tube. This overflow tube is a safety feature and it's only meant to safely discharge gas away from the hot engine when the diaphragm fails. Supposed to have a 1-year warranty but as per the website, the company's only listed address and phone number is in Zhejiang Sheng, China.
There's another review here with a hard failure similar to mine, although he rated it 5 stars? With only 10 total reviews, that's a big deal.
