Walkie-Talkies like you wish you had as a kid!

Oh, man, I love these Retevis RT628 Walkie Talkies!! (OVER) I would have loved to have them as a kid! (OVER) My 4-year-old daughter and I run around the house talking through these without any interference or static (OVER) "Daddy, why do you keep saying 'over' when you talk to me?" Because they are walkie-talkies!!! "Roger that, daddy!!"
They are very easy to use, great size for small hands and clear. I've been a little less than a 1/4 mile away with no drop in signal or voice (other than when my daughter forgets to push the button to talk).
The handsets have a few buttons to adjust sound or change frequency and some menu items, but for straight walkie-talkie'ing, just power on and press the talk button. (and let go to listen to the other person).
The one thing I don't like is there is a little 'chirp' sound like the old Motorola/Nextel 'push-to-talk' features. My daughter likes it, but she is 4 and has no concept of stealth. She uses it when she is two feet away (I CAN HEAR YOU WITHOUT THE WALKIE-TALKIE, SWEETY!!)
Anyway - these are a lot of fun and seem very professional with sound clarity and distance for the price. Easy enough for a 4 year old to use too (OVER)

After an initial problem with one cutting out, customer service reached out to me and was very responsive to my concerns. They sent me a replacement at no cost and now they work great. No issues at all. Kids absolutely love them. There are a few buttons on there that confuse the kids but once they get the hang of it, they work really, really well.
The walkie talkies also have a great range. I am able to talk to my kids that are across the street while I'm inside the house and still have very clear signal.

These are awesome! Great quality in a simple kids talkie! We had another set from discovery kids That was AWFUL, so much static we couldn't even hear them. The Retevis set was perfect, no static feedback and simple enough for my just 4y/o twins to use! Love them! Unfortunately with some use we realized that one of them toggles back and forth between two channels even when locked which can be hard for my kids to fix but overall we still use them regularly.

Arrived quickly and easy to put together and use. Needed it for my sons birthday party. After playing with them for about an hour, one device started burning. It burnt one of the kids! I immediately felt it and was also burned. I needed to use a paper towel to open the device. Batteries were burning up inside. Plastic wrapping on battery was melting. Very upset and dissatisfied. I let my neighbor's kids tried it out. I had listen to them, the modulation is very loud without so much of mushy sound. Remember, loud audio will cut through popping noise during the weak signal. Remember; this walkie talkies is beyond toy level in performance and range. The range is depended on: Line -of- sight or blockage do to hills, trees and housing in the way to shorten the range. From high hill top that over look in long way for eyes sight can see, your range can reach well more than 10 air miles away. As of standard line of sight over the flat open land, your range will able to reach from 2 to 3 miles. In resident area, your range will average from 1/2 to 3/4 mile, up to 1 mile.
