To my surprise, I opened the bag and discovered the beef fresh and moist and it stayed that way until I used all of the meat. I kept it sealed and placed it at the bottom bin of my refrigerator. There was so much meat, I was able to prepare several dishes; beef stew, enchiladas and chimi-changas. I loved the convenience of having the beef ready to go. I just took out the right amount of meat for each meal, then sealed the bag and put it back lit the frig.

I give it 4 stars because you do have to "doctor it up" as it taste rather bland on its own. However,I prefer to add my own spices so that is not a issue for me personally. Yes, I would buy this again.

I purchased this when the facility I live in was under a "hard" COVID lockdown (it's an assisted living facility, so it's filled with really vulnerable people). We were told not to leave our apartments unless there was a fire or we had a medical emergency. I prefer cooking my own meals rather than relying on the stuff they were delivering during this lockdown. Grocery shopping was out of the question. So .. Amazon to the rescue.

I ordered this on the off chance that it would be an acceptable substitute for my usual pulled beef (a chuck roast, slow-cooked, then shredded). Really pleasantly surprised at how good this is!

I portioned the contents into 10 air-tight storage containers and put them in the freezer. You're advised not to freeze it in the bag (for obvious reasons), but removing the contents to freeze works just fine.

I love the fact that this is JUST beef plus a little broth and a slight amount of salt. The flavor is quite good. I've used it so far for 1) barbecued beef sandwiches (just mix the shredded beef with a little barbecue sauce); 2) enchiladas (mixed with some red enchilada sauce, rolled in corn tortillas, topped with more sauce and cheese, then baked); and 3) heated with some onion & garlic salt-free seasoning and served on top of mashed potatoes. Each dish turned out very tasty. The beef is lean -- really almost no fat -- and quite tender.

I plan to purchase this again to have on hand for times when I just can't get to the store. It's a tad pricey, but the convenience, flavor, and versatility make up for that.

So, I'll keep this brief. Purchased one pack during the height of covid, and the best buy date was 3/21. Welp, we found this is in the back of our pantry, and my husband was insistent it was still good. I really leaned towards tossing it, but he had other plans. It's been 72 hours since using it for BBQ sandwiches, and we're all still alive and kickin.' Surprisingly good meat.

Thought I would leave a review in case anyone else had an older best buy date, and was curious about how edible it was. Of course - make sure it visually looks good, smells good, is cooked well, etc.

I purchased this product to try out at a picnic. I was skeptical at first, but it heated up nice, good flavor, not fatty or salty. It's a bit pricey, bit I did none of the work. I will definitely buy again.

This is a Great product, Great value. It wonderful because of the long shelf life. I have purchased this about 4 times now as the price has dropped from the 1st time purchased. It a great product because it's beef and salt. While it's 3 lbs of meat, I had read one of the Q & A that once open a person repacked into smaller amounts and froze it. However, I have not tested the frozen product yet, I imagine it would be the same as freezing any cooked meat. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to others.

I wish it was available through subscription so I could lock in a price and set it and forget it.
