I popped out the old bulb and popped this one back into the TV. Easy to do and now the rear projection TV works great.

I bought this as a test to see if my TV just needed a new lamp or if it had other problems. This lamp works (not sure for how long yet), but it is not very bright. It seems about 50% normal during the day and 75% at night. I am now going to get a more expensive one since I know my TV just needs a lamp.

Arrived as scheduled, installed easily, appears to be working fine. Possibly a little brighter than the original. Now we'll see how long it lasts. I purchased two in order to always have a back up on hand, This model Sony TV eats these things up at a very rapid rate.

Lasted exactly 2months from the date of installation😡. Now we are stuck with a television & no sound & picture again. The 1st that we had bought broke in just a few days. This was a replacement whose life ended in 2 months. What a waste of time, effort & money. If they had only stated with their product that these last only a couple of months then maybe I would have considered buying these in bulk instead of having to wait for it to be delivered again & till then have no tv to watch.
Not worth the money. Buy the OEM bulb.

This is a cheap bulb in every respect. Although the price was great, the picture was dim...very dim...and the bulb took forever to warm up. This is not an OEM bulb. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on a Phillips bulb or Osram bulb (OEMs). It makes a difference. The brightness is not even comparable. One star because the assembly fit perfectly into the TV (some reviews indicated problems with this)
