I just got these socks. I am so disappointed! I'd been looking for some colorful knee socks and thought these fit the bill. The first issue I had was all the loose threads inside of the socks. My toes actually got stuck/wrapped up in them. My second issue was the complete lack of stretch. I bought the tribal design. Notice the zig-zag design that wraps around the socks? They do not stretch at all! These were downright painful! I had red indents on my leg just from trying one on. If you are slender and are careful pulling these on so your toes don't snag, you may like these. I have to pay to send these back so I am going to donate them. Don't buy them unless you know they will fit. I've never had any trouble with socks fitting. It never even occurred to me that they wouldn't fit. Ridiculous! I'm disappointed and angry.

Although I LOVE the colors on these socks, I'm only giving them three stars because of two issues that I have:
1) After one wear and wash, one pair developed a hole in the toe where the material pulled away from the seam
2) In some--not all--of the pairs, the seams up the back have strings that stick out, making it seem like the sock might just unravel.
Pros:
1) The colors are crisp and bright
2) The socks don't slide down my legs while walking (I hate that)
3) The top cuff doesn't cut my circulation off or leave an itchy red mark

The material is on the thin side, which is neither good nor bad to me; however that thinness combined with the stringy seam make me leery that the socks won't last long. Only time will tell!!
For those that need to know for sizing, I am 5'8" and heavy set, I wear a 10W shoe.

These socks are perfect for putting a little flavor in your work life. For me they are perfect and give me the things I need in a dress sock: 1) knee high length prevents skin from ever showing when crossing your legs (pet peeve is when folks were short socks and you can see their legs at work) and also provides some extra support through the day, 2) thin weave allows for a nice fit in dress shows and 3) real toe and heal (vs just a long tube that is sewn at the end). For the price, the quality is very high. Are they the same quality as gold toe dress socks, no, but they're close and are less than half the price. Plus, gold toe doesn't offer anywhere close to the colors as Mamia.

I bought a pack of these last year and they were great! Totally stretchy, comfy, and lasted about 6 months which is about what I'd expect for this price. However, when I bought a new pack for this fall, they were totally different. Longer, yes, but like they'd been knitted by someone who didn't know how to knit (I realize these are machine-knit, but as a hand knitter, I can see where the problem is stemming from). The thread carried in the inside of the sock is way too tight so they don't fit over my calf at all, even though the material itself is stretchy. Waste of money, they are basically slouch socks at the ankle.

I purchased the polka dot pattern of Mamia's design choices. There are six pairs per set for this choice. The polka dots are on a solid color background of: black, taupe, green, grey, crème, and red. Made from 98 percent polyester and 2 percent Spandex, I found these socks to be quite soft and comfortable. They are not thin in weight by any means. I guess you could say they are of a medium weight.

I found these socks to fit very well. The calf portion of the knee sock is tight, but still comfortable. These knee socks do not fit too tightly in the foot. Additionally, my toes are not pinched. (For reference: I wear a size 8 narrow and the fit is perfect.)

These knee socks are packaged individually and could easily be separated for stocking stuffers at the holiday time. This is a good decent sock. I am very pleased with this purchase.
