I replaced some LED lights that I get flickering from. The LED lights have been there a while but the flickering finally drove me to replace them.. The bulbs previous to the LED lights were filament light bulbs which lasted years. These went in and may have lasted a couple weeks, if that. Mileage obviously may vary, but they did not do the job for me. I've regretfully gone back to filament bulbs.

I use the yellow CFL bulbs on my porch as "bug lights" to minimize the number of bugs attracted to the lights. Home centers have sharply cut the number of CFL bulbs they sell in favor of LED bulbs, and my local place no longer sells the yellow ones. I tried the "yellow" LED bulbs they carry but they appear more fluorescent green than yellow and look odd. These CFL bulbs look yellow as they should and provide plenty of brightness to light a porch area.

Looked in two big stores here in Rochester, MN and an Ace Hardware who told me these CLFs are no longer manufactured. Woe to anyone who replaced CFL bug light with a LED -- you will light up your neighborhood. These are EXACTLY what I wanted and I knew I could find them as Amazon. If I could not have found them there - then I would have to believe they no longer exist!

I bought a few sets of different light bulbs to try and minimize the number of insects on my front and back porch. Only in for 2 days at this point, and I would say that there are considerably less bugs than when I had a standard white spiral bulb in there. Product came quickly, and as far as I could tell was as described. I recalled a few people saying that this bulb was a not as bright, but I think it did the trick just fine, and I do not feel as though I lost any visibility with these.
