I was skeptical on spending the money for a piece of foam, however this thing really works. Put it right where the sag is and it bumps up that spot to match the rest of the mattress. There was no smell (it tucks under the mattress anyways so not sure how people say there is a smell). Definitely worth the money to get extra time out of your mattress without having to purchase a new one. If you could find this same type of dense foam cheaper that's great but to then cut it to size, buying it on prime and having it arrive in 2 days was worth saving the time and hassle.

This mattress support board works just like it is promised, which seems to be a rare thing these days. My mattress had a sort of 'invisible' sag. You can't see it sagging, but when I slept on it in my normal space I'd wake up with a sore back. So I have been sleeping in the middle of the bed where it wasn't sagging, but waiting for the day when that part too would make my back hurt. The mattress support board isn't really a board, but more like some type of high tech styrofoam. I put it between my mattress and box spring and voila! I was back sleeping in my normal spot with no back pain. That part of my bed even feels a bit springier than it did new. The product is well worth it's cost and has extended the life of my mattress.

My wife and I bought a new (expensive) hotel mattress which is super comfortable and she just loves it. However, it is one sided and since I have a bad lower back we have to rotate the mattress several times a month to prevent the mattress from sagging too much (which causes my back pain). The beauty of this product is that it makes my side of the mattress feel like we just rotated the mattress (similar to the center unused part of the mattress), without affecting my wife's side. With this product (I purchased the large 1" one) my wife still loves her side of the mattress, and now I am super happy with my side.....a win-win! I gave this product a five star because it works for me. I didn't follow the suggestions to measure the depth of your bed sag or then select which thickness to purchase. Instead, I went for the Standard smaller choice of one-inch thickness. It took a few days for me to have it placed under my mattress in the correct spot and also for me to get used to having a firmer sleeping spot on my bed. The difference is noticeable right away. After about four days now, I can say that it is working well for my mattress. I get a good night's sleep and am not waking up with back ache. It is an inexpensive solution to my problem. I'm just not ready to purchase a new mattress at this time.
