This barbell is super awesome! We started doing CrossFit a few months ago and my son watches us workout. He mimics our moves and this barbell is great for him! We have had it for a few months and it's in great shape! He loves to play with it! This is by far his favorite toy!

Have 2 adorable grandsons (ages almost 3 & 4 yrs old) whose Dad (my son) is the Associate Sports & Fitness Director at a prominent University. My ADORABLE grands like to imitate their dad and other football athletes during their work-outs. At home they would use brooms, dust mops or whatever was available with handles to practice lifting weights. I WAS THRILLED WHEN I FOUND THESE. They are just perfect for my babies and I cannot begin to tell you how excited they were when they received them. They almost never put them down and I like the fact they can grow into them by later adding the water or sand. THANK YOU, YOU NAILED IT!!!!

The construction is poor and is likely to leak when you buy it. The barbell is terribly flimsy and can barely handle the weight of the plates when full of water. Super glue the seams and the plug and you should be okay.
Fully loaded the weight is too light for my (just turned) 5 year old nephew.
Right now this is the best I can find to introduce children to the lifting culture. hopefully soon they'll either improve this or someone will come out with something better.

My brother-in-law owns a fitness studio and has a home gym so I knew this was the perfect gift for his 2-year-olds birthday and let me tell you, it was a hit!! My nephew loves using the barbell to "lift weights" next to his dad. I saw multiple fitness themed kids toys on amazon but this one was the least price and still has amazing quality! Very glad I ordered it!

Received quick shipping and the item is as described. My little niece loves doing CrossFit workouts with her mommy now.
The age on the toy is 3+ but I got this for someone turning 2. Removing the plugs that allow you to fill with sand/water solved the possible issue of small parts.
