One button
Not the same, too smooth
Ricardo•December 31, 2017
It doesn't have the same feel as the OEM piece. This one is one hard plastic piece, where the original was plastic with a rubber topper. The rubber topper gave the OEM piece better grip. I imagine this one will be more durable. I would opt for a different item with if you want the original feel back, but this item is serviceable. Do a Google search for how to replace one of these pieces. It's neither exceptionally difficult nor very simple. Do yourself a favor and get a set of tiny screwdrivers if you don't already have some.
A little slick

Great replacement for 3DS circle pad.
Slightly taller than the original but being pure plastic makes it much slicker, a little hard to grab on with the end of you finger.

Good cheap replacement

Good cheap replacement. Feels a lot more solid than the original nintendo one that was thin plastic with rubber on top which eventually just crumbled to dust. Hopefully this one will last as the replacement procedure is a bit of a pain. I suppose I could get a rubber cap to go on top if I really feel like I need the grib, but this cap has a concave textured surface, so the grip isn't bad.
Better than nothing, but can't beat the original.

It gets the job done, and it's certainly better than a broken analog stick, but I don't know if I could recommend it. It does indeed wiggle in place, which at first doesn't seem too noticeable. However, for games that require precision like platformers such as Shovel Knight make it much more of a problem. Games that don't require pin-point analog stick control, like RPGs such as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, aren't much of a problem at all. It's also made of a hard, solid plastic as opposed to the soft rubber of the original, but this isn't much of an issue, and is just a case of getting used to it. Overall, the wiggling is the biggest problem, and if you are a platformer lover as myself, you are much better off purchasing a Circle Pad Pro and using its circle pad, but if you are into turn based RPGs and don't mind the wiggle room, go ahead.
