Very nice! Great customer service too!

My first time trying Matcha. I am branching out after spending several years exploring Chinese tea (Pu erh's, Oolongs, Green, White/Silver Needle, etc).
This tea is the brightest shade of fresh green imaginable! Very, very fine powder that mixes dissolves easily. Just tried it in a smoothie yesterday and thought it was quite good. Nice to know that there is an affordable culinary grade available for times when you want to bring some tea goodness to something, but do not want to use the really good stuff. I am now waiting for my order of Jade Leaf ceremonial grade to arrive so I can try brewed matcha.
I had a follow up question for the seller and they were very fast, and more than complete in their response. Think I found a new favorite tea vendor on my first try in the world of matcha tea.

EDIT: back to 5 stars! The company saw my review and immediately contacted me, said I might have gotten one with micro holes in the package or something, and sent me a replacement as well as a sample of the Premium Culinary.
The replacement was as delicious as the original I had purchased, and the Premium Culinary was even smoother. Both good choices.
Thanks to the excellent customer service.
======
I bought this in April and it was fantastic- I used it straight as tea and it was sweet and smooth. Bought it again in August and it is coarse amd bitter. Is it the season? Luck? Going downhill? Don't know. Afraid to spend the money on trying it again.

& that there was also a certain kind for drinking like a tea

So I accidentally ordered this tea, thinking that it was the kind you make green tea drinks out of. I didn't realize that you could even buy a certain kind for cooking, or smoothies, & that there was also a certain kind for drinking like a tea. Well, when I let them know what happened, they offered to exchange it or refund it for me, but I said no thanks, as I had already opened the package (I was so excited to smell it lol) so they sent me a coupon to try their 'ceremonial blend' (the sweeter kind that you make tea out of) so I ordered it, & it just came! I can't wait to try it! I will still be trying this kind in a smoothie, (don't try to make a regular green tea with it, unless you really like it stout & bold!) & I am leaving 5 stars because of the exceptional customer service, & how excited I am to try it!
I love this matcha

I love this matcha! I made a vegan green tea "fudge" and it was wonderful. My parents who don't usually do "healthy" sweets thought it was so good and they took 1/2 of the batch home. I will be a return customer for sure! I found so many awesome vegan recipes!
Great Matcha Green Tea + Iced Latte Recipe
River✓ Verified Purchase•July 2, 2016
Recently I've come to love iced green tea lattes at Starbucks and Scooters, which both use matcha tea. With how yummy it tastes plus it being healthy because of all the antioxidants, it's totally my new favorite drink. I ordered this product so I could make some at home. When the package first got here I was a little surprised at how small of pouch it was for almost ten dollars, but after researching some recipes and realizing most matcha green tea lattes only use one half to one full teaspoon of matcha, I realized it was a good deal considering the pouch contains 15 teaspoons. So you're getting about 15 drinks instead of 2 for the price, since Starbucks and Scooter's are about $5 per drink.
I'll be honest, I hated the first latte I made with this stuff. However, after playing with the recipe a bit, I've found a delicious one that I absolutely LOVE!
Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte:
-1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
-4 oz. hot water
-8 oz. milk
-vanilla extract
-honey
-ice
1. Mix the green tea powder in the hot water. Stir.
2. Then mix in a drop of vanilla extract and honey to taste. Stir well.
3. Add milk and stir.
4. Add ice.
Ta-da! Delicious matcha iced latte!
I will definitly be buying this product again!
Side note: the package states that if you are interested in the traditional tea preparation of Matcha, "You'll want to use our Ceremonial grade instead. This Culinary Grade is better for blending and cooking."
