Awful Snowblower
John V. Kaprielian✓ Verified Purchase•November 7, 2017
Awful. I bought this to replace a Sears Craftsman electric snowblower I have used for 10 years. I am still using it, because this one is TERRIBLE. The only good thing about it is how easily the chute adjusts, as the sears one rusted into one position, but the chute itself is such a narrow diameter, it clogs very quickly. The whole unit is so light, it is hard to keep against the ground. Despite being slightly wider than the sears, it is terribly ineffective at removing snow. Unfortunately, Snow Joe seems to have cornered the market on electric snow blowers. I seriously cannot recommend this poorly designed, useless product unless you barely get any snow at all.
Works great with fluffy snow

The blower came on time. Works great with fluffy snow. When it come to the heavy wet snow the shoot kept on getting clogged.
Works well for electric

I bought this in 2016 the week we were expecting a blizzard. We got over three feet of snow and this cleared it from the driveway. With snow that deep I had to cut a starting point with my shovel, then run the blower into my hole multiple times. It worked pretty well.
many reviews on the various Snow Joe electric models I decided on this one and hoped it was going to be a good decision. Well

After reading many, many reviews on the various Snow Joe electric models I decided on this one and hoped it was going to be a good decision.
Well, after 8" of snow and sub-freezing temperatures, it was a great decision. I am very pleased with this unit. It clears down to the surface. No need to go over it 2 or 3 times, and no need to sweep what was missed. Because the pavement was wet under the snow and we are below freezing, I put down ice melt for my dog. That's it! Easiest snow removal ever.

Quieter, Less Expensive, Not Stinky Snow Blower
Jennifer Miller✓ Verified Purchase•August 8, 2016
This is a relatively quiet blower, and good for up to a foot of dry snow, less for wet. For us, it leaves a thin layer of snow so we have to run a shovel over our driveway to get it all. I think this is less of a problem when the snow is wetter. We usually get very dry powder. But it is a great option if you are looking for a quiet, electric (so it's not stinky with gas fumes) and less expensive snow blower. Very, very helpful this past winter.
