Good concept, poor execution

Bright flashlight, but....The remote Pressure switch did not work as it should. After you switch it "on" you have to squeeze it really hard to actually turn it on. Also, the mount had some damage/manufacturing defects on it - rough edges, etc.
9/10

Great product so far! Cheap to buy, good quality, fit on the end of my Mossberg with ease (after I bought the Ade Advanced Optics Steel 5 Position Shotgun Barrel Mount) and puts off a good stream of light for the bad guys to stare into like deer. Only downside is the awkward battery you have to track down for it... they are about $10.
Crazy bright.

So far so good, 2 CR123 batteries and it's up and running. Only used it for about an hour or so, but man, it's bright. I've got a Surefire Z2 Combat Light as well, and this WindFire is probably twice as bright. Using the click tailcap right now, haven't tried the pressure switch. Let's see it if holds up, but so far, liking it for the price.
BUY THIS LIGHT

This light is as good as a Surefire as a rifle light. It is even brighter. The accessories are trash, but this light is a hell of a tool. You can read on if you want more specifics.
Obviously brand confusion is what the name "Windfire" is banking on but this light is brighter than the comparable Surefire model! This light makes me wonder why anybody would shell out the kind of money that "premium" rifle lights are going for.
I do need to say that the pressure pad/switch that integrates into my VG is garbage. The one I got doesn't work at all and if it did it just feels cheap. This is no matter to me though as I'm just not a fan of dealing with a three foot electrical wire in the vicinity of my muzzle. Just mount it within a finger length of the VG and turning it on is effortless.
Also, the screws for the mount are potmetal garbage. I stripped all four of them with minimal torque just trying to remove all of the wiggle. Sufice to say, the mount is right but it is now an integral part of the flashlight. Again, that doesn't matter to me as I only bought this to be a rifle light.

Don't Buy This

Absolute crap. This light blew apart after two trips to the range. I did mount it on a Mossberg 500 but only fired a few rounds of slugs on each occasions. Probably less than 10 rounds each time. The interior contact spring broke loose from the solder. I resoldered the connection but the unit failed to function. Also, the remote pressure switch failed after some test runs in the house without even firing the weapon. I decided to pony up some real money and ordered a Streetlight, which I should have done in the first place.
