Extremely easy to install an use. I love that I can now turn on and off the fire place without getting up. The thermostat needs help though... it's not properly calibrated as it seems to read approximately 1.5 degrees colder than standard but that's not so bothersome what is bothersome is the drift which appears to be +2° to -2° from set point which equates to a 4° or more swing in the room temperature when relying on the thermostat mode. That may not seem like much but it's enough to leave you feeling too warm to chilled... this feature needs attention but overall I like it a lot.

My old fireplace remote starter quit working after 18 years and this was the new replacement model for my application. I was able to plug it in, program the remote and it worked great. Took me less than 5 minutes to install. You'll need a very small screwdriver or wire for depressing the button during remote programming procedures. I am happy with this purchase.
