Our family has been drinking Emergen-C (we love the super orange flavor) during winter months for several years. When my husband started his chemo treatments, his taste buds changed and he needed some kind of flavoring added to his water, especially when he was on his 46-hour IV treatment at home. At the time, we didn't think about using Emergen-C and he used Crystal Light. This winter when we saw the two flavoring agents beside each other on the kitchen counter, it occurred to me that Emergen-C would not only flavor water but also offer Vitamins B & C, antioxidants, and electrolytes so I suggested that my husband try it in place of the Crystal Light. He loves it. He stretches a packet's flavoring throughout the day; (he only adds a little in each glass). We're going to try the pink lemonade flavor next.

This is the best-tasting flavor.

The super-orange is the way to go. I take one of these packets a day and I rarely get sick. Sometimes I'll notice myself starting to feel the start of a cold, but it never lasts more than a day. I'll get the first signs (an itchy throat or stuffy nose), but it really never goes past that. I honestly think it's the Emergen-Cs that's doing the trick. Everyone around me is constantly getting sick and I'm in close contact with them all the time, but I'm lucky to stay up and running, and feeling great.

This is part of my daily routine and seems to be working for me.

Vit C can NOT hurt you NO MATTER WHAT - just gives you the runs if you take like three of these. If you get constipated or on a prescription drug maybe this is a safe laxative.

If you have occasional constipation - Try this - 1.) One pack of this with water. 2.) Probiotic - I take Pearls pills (digestive) 3. Magnesium pill - that is a natural healthy way to solve your problem and if one pack doesn't work try 2 or 3. Trust me it works.

For all I know the quality of this product may be spot-on, but the taste (lemon-lime)? Horrible. Disgusting. Disturbingly artificial although ostensibly "all natural". Not at all what I'd been wanting which was the kind of lemon-lime flavor that comes from actual fruit. That flavor, I love. Whatever this was, it wasn't that. If dusty, soured florescent green plastic had a flavor (not that I would, you know, test for it), I imagine this would be it.

I've had great success with the (oddly expensive now) tangerine, and I love the orange almost as much. The strawberry-kiwi (Why can't anything just be "strawberry" anymore? Why do other flavors always have to be foisted on the poor berries?) was ok...not "strawberry" enough since it had to be corrupted with "kiwi" but tolerable. The "super fruit" (pomegranate "power" flavor with other natural flavors) is kid of gross (tastes extremely artificial), but hey, I figured I couldn't expect EVERY flavor option to taste fantastic, right?

Then came the "lemon-lime". No. Don't. Just don't.

I have been using this stuff for many years. I drink 1 or 2 every morning, depending on how I feel. The price on amazon for the Super Orange is cheaper than Wal- Mart (and saves me from going into a Wal-Mart...thank the Lord). I also added this to my subscribe and save, so I get even more savings.

I am a vegetarian and use this to get my B vitamins, which are particularly hard for vegetarians to get without supplementing. I prefer the powder form as it is more readily absorbed.

Super Orange is my favorite flavor; the others are too sweet for me. I like to briefly warm about 6 oz of water and then add my 1-2 packs. I feel that it dissolves better in slightly warm water.

Vitamin C and B vitamins are water soluble. If you ingest more than you need, you will just pee them out. Although excessive Vitamin C can cause diarrhea, so be alert to that. If you notice your pee is a bright yellow, you probably have taken in more B12 than you need. This never happens to me so I know 1-2 packs per day is suitable for my needs. In the past when I drank Red Bull, my pee would be a neon yellow, and fairly rapidly. Interestingly, Red Bull provides 80% of your RDI for B12, while this product contains 417% leading me to suspect that the form of B12 in Red Bull is not readily absorbed.

I have to add (since I am a dietitian and I couldn't write this review in good conscience without doing so) that I do not recommend using Red Bull for your pick-me-up. I just mentioned it to discuss the quality of the Emergen-C supplement. But this is not a review for Red Bull, so I'll leave it at that.
