Update: one of the larger strips has come loose so many times I'm not sure rinsing it will recover the adhesive. I'm still a backer of the product but this one seems a dud. Whether because a bad batch of adhesive backing or perhaps it's the heavy duty silicone on this variety which has deeper ribs to grip, I don't know. Regardless it's an expensive product considering what it is and does IF it doesn't stick as it's supposed to.
Five star review should egrips step up and replace them. It's not a threat or a bribe. I've just been that pleased in the past that if they stick properly I'd be completely happy.

I've used egrips on a little bit of everything, dating back to my Palm Treo. Yes, boys and girls, that was almost 15 years ago. I've really been happy with having this film on all my phones over the years as it is extremely effective at giving my bear paws something to grab onto. I added it to my laptop to give grip when carrying it around. a few strips on my desk to prop my phone in place. A few dots under my trackball. My wife added some underneath her keyboard so it wouldn't slide around anymore. So, you see, I was excited to get a new sheet of this to put on my newly purchased laptop.
When this product arrived, i was impressed. As it mentioned in the description, it is heavy duty. the ribs are deeper and the silicone is thicker.
the unfortunate downfall is that the adhesive isn't up to the job. When I was applying the strips, i cleaned my hands with soap and water, then hand sanitizer. I applied a bit more of sanitizer to the laptop lid and bottom and rubbed it around until it evaporated. Then i stuck the strips on top and bottom edges of the top and bottom of the laptop case.

Two days later, they're flopping around. I've never ever had egrip do that and it's disappointing. I'm hoping the manufacturer sees my review and rectifies the issue, perhaps with a replacement sheet of strips. I've spend hundreds on this stuff over the years and recommended to dozens of people. I keep a few of the misc. size sheets in my office file cabinet in case i have a need.

I can't recommend these HD strips, based on my experience.

When I got my new phone, an S8+, I first ordered a really pretty, low profile drop proof case. But when I put the case on my phone I realized the reason it has to make the phone drop proof was because the case is so slippery that it almost slides out of my hand constantly.

I bought these clear grippy stickers to put on the back and sides of my pretty case without ruining the look of the case itself. They work perfectly! My case has alllll kinds of grip and I can't even slide it across my desk anymore. Perfection!

The instructions say that you can't put the grippy stickers on the sides of the phone since it is a thin and curved phone edge. Perhaps that is true if putting the stickers directly onto the phone. But the case makes the phone thick enough that the stickers adhere perfectly and now I have grippiness on the sides of my phone too. Will definitely order these stickers again for my next phone.

But, if you want excellent phone gripping materials that will last, then buy the $5.81 anti slip "GRiPhone Narrow" strips (shipped from Japan)(non prime item - 3 to 4 week delivery wait period). They work great, and was well worth the wait. After testing the first order, I placed a second order, to use on different slippery items around the house. It is an excellent product.

AGAIN, stay away from "egrips'" garbage.

UPDATE 1 (one day later; dropped rating from 4 stars to 1 star): The item provided an excellent grip on my Galaxy S8 for about 3 to 4 hours, then the gripping ability ceased. The tiny knobby area (that which provides the gripping capabilities with your hand) went flat, and became very slick and slippery. Then the thin layer of tape, which covers the rubber strips, peeled off. Thus leaving a very slippery piece of useless rubber. What a terrible product.

Best phone anti slip grips out there. But, overpriced ($13.95). Should be $8 prime or less. They provide an excellent grip on your phone. No more worries about dropping your slippery $800 phone or phone case anymore.

I tried several anti slip items and tapes. This is by far the best out there for your phone and portable power banks. (Hence the overpricing)

I am waiting for the $5.81 anti slip "GRiPhone Narrow" strips to arrive from Japan (non prime item - 3 to 4 week delivery wait period); so I can see if they compare to these. If so, I will buy 2 of those for less than the price of one of these ($13.95).

I'm now making a second purchase as I've had this on my phone for 2 1/2 yrs of heavy use and it's finally wearing off on the edges.....see pic I need a new case and figured I'd buy a new grip also. Thankful for Amazon history and could find this prior purchase to purchase again. It makes my phone grip everywhere I go....to center car console, on my leg sweating on the beach, on counters, on the lawnmower/snowblower, etc. and the application of it is thin enough that i can still easily put it in and out of pockets, bags, etc.. If it starts to get a a little dirty from normal use just wipe with a wipey or wet paper towel and everything comes right off and it also refreshes the grip. I can't say enough about this product!

I would have given this 5 stars at first. But after needing to swap the phone at the apple store because of software issues (completely unrelated to this product) I had to remove to swap it out and it completely removed the finish of the phone where it was applied. The apple rep was really nice about it and took it back but told me in the future other reps have the right to refuse the swap under apple care because of damage caused by the skin. As far as function is really was great. The iphone 6 and 7's are incredibly slick and this skin was everything I was looking for as far as grip without having to add a bulky case. However, if it's going to take the finish off the phone it's not worth having, especially if you're like me and sell them every year.
