I had bought this Hand Gripper over two years ago and last month the metal ring around the knob where you adjust the resistance broke into three pieces. I contacted the manufacturer and requested a replacement ring. Instead, they were generous and kind enough to send me a free replacement of the whole Hand Gripper although the warranty had expired.
I received the replacement last week and have been using it almost daily. It has really helped me gain strength in my hands. For a senior citizen who is over 70, this is a God-send! It is very easy to use, has adjustable resistance and can be used anytime, anywhere. I use it when I am on the treadmill.

Marvelously ergonomic and adjustable hand strengthener. Appears to be cast resin with stainless steel spring and pins, should be very durable. At it's low setting I easily ran off 30 squeezes, at the high setting had to bridge my fingers and squeeze with both palms to touch handles, on the adjustment barrel it shows 22 lbs to 88 lbs. Handles are rubberized and shaped and contoured for an even closing motion. VERY cleverly engineered. The adjustment knob turns easily providing a smooth incremental increase in squeezing strength. An innovative, excellently engineered, sturdily built piece of exercise equipment.

A lazy way to incorporate strength training into your daily routine. I use it at work doing reps of 15 and 3 or 4 sets at a time before switching hands. I started with the lightest level a week ago and now I am up to the midway mark. Guess its working!

Purchased this based on all the good reviews. Have used it for 1 week now, and it seems to work very well. Its solid and sturdy, and none of the parts have cracked yet. I have pressed it about a thousand times now, mainly at the 70lb setting. The grips are comfortable and do not hurt your hand. You can easily turn the knob to adjust the spring tension. Even tried it many times at the max (88lb) setting. It really helps exercise your hands/fingers. When I read the reviews on this, I was not sure how wide the grip was (maybe not wide enough for me). The widest point (at 88lb setting) is about 3,5 inches, which is wide enough for most hands and good enough for me.
The only minor concern I have is will the plastic parts crack and go flying months from now. When I use the hand gripper, I always keep it away from my face. For example, when I am sitting reading the computer, I have my hand off to the side and slightly behind me. Later read the instructions and they give a similar warning to keep away from the face,
As a suggestion, in their next version, Lifestyle may want to consider covering the spring area.
But anyhow, the product does work and I am happy so far with it.

The hand gripper is good, but the customer service is better. I had an issue with the first one I ordered (it came with a plastic ring to hold it together) and contacted them about it. They resolved the issue by switching out my busted gripper with a new one (metal ring this time). Very good resolution and prompt replies to all my emails.
I do not adjust the gripper too much, but that part works as expected. I have played around with how I hold it and found what works for me. This is primarily used to entertain me while commuting to/from work. On the weekends the kids enjoy picking it up while in the car and it is good for them as well.
