Form was fine, Fit not so much.

Not sure if my problems is related to a model discrepancy or if the jar is actually inaccurately sized. In any case, although the jar looks identical to the one that broke, I found the threads on the screw-on neck started too far back from the neck opening for my base cap to screw on securely. Although the threads did barely engage, the cap could not be tightened, and the first time I tried to use it to blend something it would have popped loose and spread the contents over the counter.
Not wanting to go through the expense & trouble of sending it back I spent a fair amount of time with a belt sander grinding down the glass neck until the cap would screw on more or less securely. Works, but not an optimum purchase by any means. Is the product incorrectly dimensioned or has Hamilton Beach changed their design slightly? Who knows, but be aware of a possible problem.

My original blender broke and I was so dissapointed. I had had the thing for years. It had the measurements on the side and all. Anyway bought this replacement and I'm happy with it. The only reason why I have 4 stars and not 5 is because it didn't have the extensive measurements on the side like my other one. It has measurements but not as many. Overall good quality.

i should have listened to one of the reviewers who said it was too small. it is a little too small and i had to use the o-ring on the inside to keep it from leaking. The top does not fit. I have an old Hamilton Beach model 632-5. It will do for now.

Slightly larger than the one I was replacing. I had to order the screw cap and o-ring to make the complete replacement. It does slightly leak.

It FITS, but there's only a thread and a half on the bottom of the blender, so it doesn't TIGHTEN and therefore leaks. I mean, seriously, would it have killed them to have two full threads? Maybe even 2 1/2?
