NOT THE CORRECT PRODUCT IMAGE
Cortney Dekeyser•August 24, 2017
Did not receive the same product. Is not effective and it's extremely hard to change the liquid out.
Leaked like mad.

I'm not sure if I got a defective unit or what, but when you open up the drop checker there's a little black rubber seal that sits in a groove around the edge to prevent leaks. My seal was not one continuous piece, but had a break (more of a C than a O, for a better visual). Again, I tried to look up pictures to find out how exactly the inner seal was supposed to look but had no luck. No matter how I put this together it leaked. I may not be NASA level genius but I think I can handle putting together a drop checker, so either I'm missing some critical set up step, or the inner seal for my unit is garbage. Either way I got fed up and bought one of the classic glass drop checkers. At least I still had the solution left from this one to help make up for the utter failure of the product.
Very convenient.

I've had this for a month. Easy to read with white background. Easy to fill. I inject CO2 in a ten gallon shrimp tank. I have a Fluval drop checker on my other ten gallon tank and I think I can read the ISTA drop checker much easier than the Fluval.
Doesn't work.

Waste of money. The liquid in the drop checker has never changed from blue. I certainly have co2 pumping in my system, 1-2 bps for a 20gal. Even one time left the co2 on for an hour after the lights went off on accident and the liquid was still blue.
Good color change

Great color change in the fluid. Goes very distinctly yellow when CO2 is too high & very true blue when lacking. The design is slim although wish the backing and the suction cup were clear for a stealthier appearance... but hasn't leaked in the 5 days I've had it.
