Just What I Wanted! Perfect for Mugs & Glass

Works perfectly to drill holes in the bottom of mugs to turn them into pots, very easy if you know to keep the area wet and start off at an angle to develop a groove before attempting to drill straight up and down. Only regret is that the biggest drill bit is still a bit small for bigger pots, but once the hole is drilled, this drill bit set is easy to use to make the hole bigger. Been heavily recommending to anyone who's looking into drilling ceramics and glass - absolutely wonderful.
Cuts through porcelain tile without any trouble.

Well balanced and they cut well through porcelain tile. The easiest way is to hold it spinning barely touching the surface of the tile, then, once the hole is scored, drill as normal.
Problem is the drainage isn't great so if you don't keep a great deal of water flowing over it, it will get completely clogged in a pretty short period of time. If it does, the core is completely solid and nearly impossible to get out.

These worked beautifully. I needed to drill a hole in the bottom of a ceramic pot and have never been successful with masonry bits, that I thought you were supposed work. I followed the directions, keeping the drill bit wet and holy cow a perfect hole. I went ahead and drilled a bunch in a clay outdoor hose keeper (can't think of the proper name) and once again perfect holes to let the water out. Why they didn't have weep holes in the first place is a mystery to me. Anyway so happy I discovered these. It's very important to keep the bit wet and do not put a lot of pressure on while drilling, let the bit do the work.

Bought because of great reviews on amazon. I was very pleased with the 5 piece set. I drilled 13 holes with one bit before it gave out. I used medium pressure and speed and kept the porcelain tiles wet with a spray bottle and occasionally dipped the bit in water to keep it cool. Took 30 seconds a hole. Price is great as the 5 bit set was cheaper than a single bit at a big box store. The other reviewers were correct about starting the bit at an angle to prevent bit walking. Drilled perfect holes. Clean out the bit after each use with a nail. I would highly recommend these bits. Super fast shipping. If you have to drill porcelain buy these bits
Easy to use, cuts quickly!

I was very happy using these bits to cut holes into my porcelain tile. It cuts very fast, and I didn't use any special cooling system for the bit. I used a spritzer with cold water to lubricate the work area and just start drilling. I'd stop every few seconds to touch the bit to make sure it's cool, mist it and the work area and start again. That's probably being over cautious, but I've burned through some expensive brand name bits on a lot less work.
These are a great value, and good quality. Wish this company made more than drill bits since I would be a return customer for other products!
