Perfect Upgrade!

First thing I ordered after purchasing my 2018 Road Glide Special, the factory antenna is close to 4' tall and will catch your leg while mounting and dismounting the bike. Only thing I would note before installation is add some blue or red loc tite. Reception is the same with no noticeable signal degradation.

I bought this for my Road Glide Ultra. I was constantly walking into the stock antenna and the shorty one sold by H-D wasn't much better. I have an MP3 player and don't use the radio all that much, plus we live some 50 miles from rthe nearest station, so the reception isn't that great anyway. I didn't think this would even pick up a signal from this far away but I was surprised. The reception is probably better than the stock antenna. It looks great on the bike and actually improves the radio reception
Looks good, but the reception is terrible. (I get one radio station - sorta)

This went on my 2017 Harley Street Glide Special very easy and it is very low profile. The good is that it looks much better than the stock Antenna. The bad however is that reception on the radio is terrible. I got every station with the stock Antenna, with this I get only one of those stations. If you ride with your own music via Bluetooth or some other connected method this is fine. If you want to hear radio stations this Antenna will not be what you are looking for. It does look good - I attached images of what it looks like on.

I read the reviews and thought this might work for me and it does. I usually listen to Sat. radio or I-pod but like getting a weather report or a local radio broadcast and this antenna works fine. I travel a lot and use a cover, but always have to remove the stock antenna. This being only 4 inches means I don't have to worry about the antenna. I'm getting great FM, AM and Weather band reception.

This is a perfect replacement for the factory-installed whip antenna on my 2016 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special. Just got it today, put it on and turned the Boom Box radio on. Inside my garage without garage doors open, all of my existing pre-sets sounded just fine. We live north of the greater Dallas area and a good way from radio transmission towers.
I purchased this for two primary reasons. First, I have the HD Airwing four-point luggage rack. The factory-installed whip was constantly flexing against the rack. This combo was anything but an integrated match. Secondly, I love that this is made in the USA. It's small but heavy duty and appears to be of great quality. Looks sharp on the bike!
I'll hit the road over the next few weeks and provide further feedback on my Stubby experiences.
