I'm on year three with 2 of these mediums and 1 deep and so far no issues. They're half the price and they do the job. My bees haven't complained yet

I always paint the outside of all the hive boxes I purchase. Here in Hawaii there are not many choices for bee supplies so Amazon is the best choice thus far. Paint and caulk all cracks and your box will last much longer!! Aloha!

Ordered one. They sent two. For the price, regardless of the poor construction, it's hard to argue that. Now I have a feeder box and another honey super, with frames, just cause. Stoked about it.

I was running low on honey supers about a couple months ago. I knew I'd need more before the flow was over, so I put in an order with Mann Lake. Mann Lake took my money and then emailed me that the delivery was delayed. As the weeks went by, I got to the point that I absolutely needed new supers for my hives, so I came here and ordered some Little Giant boxes. I expected these to be garbage based on the top reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised by their quality. The supers I got from Little Giant were pretty much flawless right out of the box. The joints are strong and the seams are tight. All I had to do was give them a coat of paint and put them into service. Fast forward to yesterday, when I finally got my order from Mann Lake. Those supers required extensive repairs, and one was even beyond repair. I had to use a lot of wood glue and a nail gun piecing together broken bits on the more expensive Mann Lake equipment, but the Little Giant equipment was good-to-go right away--and cheaper to boot. For bee equipment with a long lead time, I still prefer Ohio Bee Box (though that preference may not last because OBB has its own issues right now), but for "emergency" orders I'm glad Little Giant is available.

For nearly the same cost as purchasing the plywood, this fully assembled super is a great value. Just add a quick coat of paint as captured in the photo and the box performs well against the elements. Happy farming!
