It's just a light bulb but it works well!

I just went back to re-read comments and details because like others I completely missed that this is just a light bulb, not a bulb in a base sort of thing like the photo. That being said, it works great as a bulb and I put it in a can light which is recessed into the ceiling and it still covered a good portion of the floor in our basement where my daughter will be hanging out with friends during a bday party. I'm kind of mad at myself for rushing and ordering without reading more carefully but I think it'll work fine, I'm going to also try it in a small lamp to see if that has a better or bigger effect than the can light.

Images make the product seem like it is ready to go. It is actually just a bulb that moves around. You will need a lamp to screw it into.

The unit shown is not what you receive. You get a bulb. Now I have to purchase something additional to use these. What a pain.

I purchased this LED Disco Party Bulb Disco Light for my daughter for her 6th birthday, it was an instant hit !!! She loves putting on her own mini concerts with her karaoke machine and her disco light !! I was pretty skeptical of purchasing this as cheap as it was , I wasn't sure it would even work at all or actually be enjoyable but it is great !! We screwed it into one of the sockets in her ceiling fan while slightly unscrewing the remanding clear bulbs so the only light was that of the disco light bulb. My daughter leaves it on for hours while playing and it still works just as great as the day we got it !! I would definitely recommend this product if your looking for a cheap route to add fun to a party or just as I did , to bring a bit of fun to a room full of kids!!

OK I returned mine not due to the bulb but due to the seller's pic showing a base which was not included. I saw it while at work and everyone wanted one for the seemingly low price, so I ordered several. I did carefully take one out of the box and try it in a lamp. The light display was fabulous. I just needed the whole thing, not a bulb only.
