Good game, but complete edition so quite complete

Despite the initial unnecessary requirements to only play this game online (fixed now via offline mode) and the launch fiasco, I've thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. The map is small but cities can still be quite dynamic and fun.

The one problem - is that there are STILL random buildings and DLCs missing and that you can still be blocked from entering your friend's cities because they bought the DLC and you didn't. Really EA? "Complete" edition should not mean "almost complete" you're just missing these 5 buidings being sold separately for $9.99 each...
While I like some of the changes made in this game

Since I was a child, I have been a fan of Maxis and the SimCity series. While I like some of the changes made in this game, I do miss the large city areas of the older. I'm not sure whether or when Maxis plans on continuing with another SimCity after this, but I hope if they do, that instead of releasing it as several different packages, they release something that's together to start with. A big part of the reason that I waited so long to buy this game, was the sheer fact that the original release lacked so much. After the release, I know they have problems with their servers. Hopefully, a future release won't have these issues.
Two Games?

My son and I love the game we've been able to find in the download but it's the only one we've been able to find and it's not the SimCity I was looking for. I was looking for a present/modern SimCity but it is futuristic.
Works perfectly fine on Windows 10

First, I must say it worked perfectly fine for me on Windows 10. I had an Origin account so it was a pretty straight forward installation for me. (However, you need an Origin account, which is free, to install the game).

Regarding the game, it is actually ok. But not to the expectations I had. Compared to Simcity 3000 and so on, this is less challenging. Also, you cannot set the city tile size, which is annoying as the size of the city you get automatically is fairly small to do anything at all. Apart from that, the product was working and all. No complains to Amazon what so ever.
Great improvement on the definitive City Simulation game

Now that all the issues at launch are in the past (You can get a grip of what happened by googling it) it's safe to make an objective review of the actual game. This installment of the franchise is a step-up from the origins of the game while sticking true to its roots. You can do almost the same things you did in the previous games but much more. The first important thing is that you do not control only one city, you control a region; which means that if you do not have jobs in your city, people will move to the next one. If you have spare firetrucks, you could "rent" them to other cities to help them. In addition there is a "regional" economy, meaning that each city may be able to extract resources and sell them in a regional market. You can do all of this in the single player mode or also multiplayer. In terms of difficulty people who played the game will quickly catch up, newcomers will find it a little bit daunting as the customization is big.

Another important thing... FREE STREET DESIGN OH YEAH! No more sticking to squares! you can build a dynamic city!!! That's the best improvement in the franchise because it allows you to make pretty different cities to one another.

The expansions are a great addition but honestly do not change the game. I'd say that the city culture pack is a great addition to knock yourself out with your traveller experiences and build a Paris of your own (which you can actually do with some work).

Overall is a great game for simulators loving people.
