These work surprisingly well. We live in southwest Florida and the humidity can make the interior of our vehicles smell musty. We were reluctant at first but were pleased that these work great and eliminate the interior window condensation in the morning.

My car had to be garaged with little use for several months. In Florida that means heat and dampness could present a musty smell inside the passenger compartment. I have been using this bag, hanging from my rear-view mirror, and the moldy smell I was noticing has diminished. What is better is that, after experimentation, I found that I can recharge the bag by placing it in the direct, hot sun for a few hours when the "˜button' turns pink! I didn't like using the microwave since the filling became too hot while running"¦ I don't specifically know what the wattage of each of my microwave settings is so I don't find the directions for recharging in a microwave (posted by the manufacturer) to be very consumer friendly. So I enlisted Mr Sun to recharge naturally and it seems to work just fine - this is why I rated it 4-stars. I can neither recommend nor not recommend since this is a run-of-the-mill item and actually nothing special that I can determine.

I'm sure they work, just not for what I wanted. I just moved to Okinawa Japan and it is incredibly humid here. I wanted these for mine and my wife's cars to make them less miserable and it hasn't made a difference at all. Probably work for other applications though.

I have yet to "recharge" these in a microwave but so far they function as they should. I used them to dry out the carpet in my car and the smell is gone between these and some Lysol. I wish I had bought more than two but I'm happy with the product itself. They seem to be quality products and I like the indicator that tells you when they're due to be dried out.
