I adore purple tone matte lipsticks but have a super hard time finding good ones. After they discontinued my favorite Stila liquid lipstick in Muse, I was on the prowl for a replacement to my favorite. I originally ordered what I now know was a fake on ebay of the Lime Crime Cashmere which strangely I loved but lost it so I ordered this real one. When I got it was just one of the worst colors I have ever tried and it is just a crappy lipstick period. The color cashmere is an awful gray, beige and purple tone that made my lips look cold and dead. The product itself is very dry and doesn't cost well like my beloved stila does and although all matte lipsticks are drying, this formula is extra bad. In my quest for a good matte lavender lipstick I came across BH Cosmetics Samantha which is beautiful in color and is a great formula at over half price of this crappy lipstick. Also a new favorite is Jordana matte lipstick in lavender lady at about 3 bucks a tube. Overall, this product sucks and the color cashmere was super ugly on my olive skin tone with dark brown hair and was just not a good formula period. These lipsticks are way overpriced and there are many better brands with better formulas and colors. They have great advertising and pretty packaging, but that's it

I have been wearing the exact same NARS lipstick in madere (it's basically concealer colored) for as long as I can remember. I always buy different lipsticks but I always end up hating them and going back to my go to. Until now. LimeCrime Cashmere is my new go to and will be for a long time to come. I always wear a nude lip, and this color is light enough, but still gives me some definition. As some other reviewers have said, I'm more of a dark eye rather than a dark lip girl, and this is perfect for that. It's a little more grey than I expected, but I still love it. And I'm not sure if it's just me, but I swear it makes my teeth look significantly whiter. So now let's talk about the fact that it stays on FOREVER (as far as lipsticks go). I do need to reapply after eating, but most times just on my inner lips. Reapplying too often will cause some thickness and I think causes what some reviewers have described as "cracking", so keep it to one light coat to start, and only reapply in the spots where it has faded. If some is gone and some is still there don't put more on top of what's left and you should be good :) And it is kind of liquidy, so make sure to wipe off all excess from the applicator, first. I have never had a lipstick that lasts this long. I haven't had to use a lip liner, no problems with smearing or bleeding, but you do have to be very precise when applying (no slapping this on while you're driving). I love it so much that I just ordered bleached and 2 moods. Can't wait until I get them!

The product itself has amazing staying power. Once applied, if you give it time to properly dry it will stay on for hours even with eating, drinking, smoking, etc. However, I was greatly disappointed with the color Cashmere. I spent a long time looking through photos prior to buying, as it is quite the pricey lip product. While it appears to be a lovely shade of dark neutral brown, after a few hours it slowly turns your lips blue/purple. I have gotten comments on this from people making sure I was ok. When I went into the bathroom, my lips had indeed turned from a beautiful brown shade into a sickly blue. It looked like I was dying. $21 for a lipstick that makes you look dead is disappointing.

Because the product itself is good, I have bought Buffy, in the hopes that it will be a more suitable color. Considering it's $10 more than the others, I'm hoping it's because it's the most popular and works for day to day wear. I will review again after I experience that. If that color turns weird, I'll have to quit the brand; it's simply to expensive to experiment with.

Smells almost like vanilla or candy. It came super fast and delivered in perfect condition! Everyone raves about this brand and it's quality, and I totally agree!! The texture is amazing, easy application and perfect color! Worth the money! I'll be purchasing more very soon! Thank you! Love that you're vegan and animal cruelty free! 10 stars!

Love the cashmere. A little darker than I thought it would be, but I love the bold look.
