This vent is awesome. Installation went well - the bottom round opening is 4" in diameter though, so you have to mate the end of 4" flexible duct to it end to end and then metal tape it, or at least I did, but it's not a big deal as you can look inside the unit to make sure that everything is lined up (most dryer vent flexible ducting has a large end and a small end, and the large end goes over the pipe that comes out of the dryer, and the small end goes inside the next duct or fitting in the system, and so on so that air is always flowing inside the next pipe). This is a minor concern since the BetterVent terminates the system anyhow.
It will fill your laundry room with heat and humidity like a sauna though, so make sure you have good ventilation and or A/C or a dehumidifier to suck that moisture out of your house or apartment.
All in all this does exactly what it's supposed to do. So glad I found it.

I went through several different systems, all were disappointments. I started looking at the reviews for indoor vents on Amazon and decided on this one. Love this product, no more lint floating all over the garage. Wish it were made out of sheet metal and it does have another filter to clean, but no more lint floaties. I would gladly pay more for a better built version. It works well.

We were using one of those water-filled indoor dryer vents because our dryer can't vent to the outside. It was annoying because you kept having to remember to change the disgusting water. This works much better. Periodically, we take out the filter and vacuum it, as well as remove the lint from the screen. I wouldn't say there's zero lint in the air, but there is less.

My dryer was vented through the roof at my house which has meant extremely LONG drying times for just about everything. The worst issue though has been the fear of fire as the vent was virtually impossible to clean. The Better Vent Indoor Dryer vent I purchased was easy to install and dries my clothes (including towels!) quickly and at a lower heat setting. The filter isn't terribly great and I am exploring alternatives as have others on the company's website. I am very pleased with this product and with the product support I have received from the company when I had questions or comments. They have been great to work with!

This item is working well but I now find that since my wash room is small if I do not leave the door to the room open the floor becomes wet. I found my dryer was channeled into my attic and the attic had a layer of lint on the floor. I viewed this as a fire hazard so rerouted my dryer.
