My 2yr old son is addicted to microwaves. I'm not sure what that means. The spinning plate, the countdown to zero, the buzzing & beeps...they all have a special place in his heart. We needed an alternative to the real microwave (his first true love). This Just Like Home Microwave did not receive a warm welcome. He knew we what we were up to and immediately flung it across the kitchen. It skipped across the floor, bounced off the wall and tumbled down the stairs. Since that first interaction they've become inseparable. He's next to me right now...keeping the plate from spinning. He knows it can take quite a spectacular tumble down the stairs too so it's often airborne. He uses this toy from sun up to sun down and it has the same batteries we first put in. I have no clue how that's possible. It might be that the toy uses very little juice or whatever batteries we installed were super-batteries. I highly recommend this microwave & my boy does too.

This was very well received by a 3 year old. It has a timer, a bell, sound. Great accent for play kitchen sets as well. There were other entertaining matching appliances that can expand the collection.

I chose this to help my son with ST & OT at home, and I noticed this was a play tool they used. He is 2.5 yrs with a speech delay, and pretend plays well along side his 5yr old sister who also loves it! Its small enough that he can easily carry it and contents inside to another area of the home to engage others. And the microwave even has a rapid countdown that beeps when its "all done". My husband took a double take because he did not expect all that in the product. At the price we paid I believe we got a great value. So many over priced collectable-type toys that do not really engage the child, are more than what I paid for this, and this fun play-so I am really happy with this purchase.

My 19 year old is obsessed with this item! He loves how it makes noise and opens and closes just like a real microwave (he loves to play with the real thing - which is why we got this to try and deter him). It has a little light inside and dings when the timer runs out. Super cute item. Durable so far and my kids a maniac - will update if and how he destroys it but would def. recommend for kids who like to play pretend with stuff like that!

Only downside was it was a bit smaller than I had anticipated but, I also didn't look at the dimensions prior to purchasing.

This thing arrived just thrown in a box with no patting at all, so the packaging was already damaged. The microwave itself is cute, I like that I got the colors shown on the picture, as those were the ones I was hoping for, but they are not guaranteed.
The product I received seemed to me like it had been a little bit used. Initially it wasn't working, so opened up the battery chamber, the batteries inside were so old that battery acid had leeked out. So the whole "batteries included "-not entirely true. After I cleaned it out and replaced the batteries it started working. I would have returned it, but my daughter saw it and she loved it, so I decided to keep it. She's obsessed with our real microwave and that was the reason I purchased this in a first place.
Well, it's been about ten 10 and the microwave stopped working ( a few days ago). So yeah, I wouldn't say this is worth $20.
