Over all a good quality tool that's worked well

My grandfather had the same tool many years back when I was quite young, from then when tools where built to last a lifetime vs now when everything is half thought out and disposable, I wasn't sure of what to expect with this.
I ordered this based on the Amazon reviews and am happy to say the tool feels to be of quality and has good clicks as you dial through the various sizes of the cutting surfaces.
The tool was used on a number of thick leather belts and dog collars, the cut was clean and perfect each time.
The over all package which comes with a few extra tools, I think for the price is a good deal, I would gladly recommend this tool based on my experience thus far.

Package arrived on time (Great packaging by the way). Though i make jackets for a living, I am new at this and so I love the fact that this is a whole kit (which i guess explains the high price) with instruction guides and spare plates. It's been a week since it arrived and i finally tested to punch a hole on one of my pure leather belts... So first, I tried using the owl from the kit to make the punch easier before i actually punched it from the actual tool. It did work pretty good, but it seems the hole from the leather closed back in seconds after. I had a hard time sticking the needle of the buckle to the new hole.
Overall, the tool is sturdy and solid. I am not sure if I am totally convinced if this is pro level and i wonder if there is a better version of this tool out there. I will need to use this more often to be able to really tell if this is best. 'Will update soon. Excellent Seller..

Shipping was fast, arrived sooner than expected. The packaging was secure. The leather hole puncher is great. Easy to use. Doesn't require much strength to punch a clean, even hole. The package also came with a tool that can be used to dig out any remaining material to make the hole more precise. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the puncher can only make CIRCULAR holes. **The description actually says ROUND HOLES but I clearly didn't read that part lol** If the holes in your belt are anything other than a perfect circle, this tool may not be what you're looking for. My husband's belt is made with oval-shaped holes. I was able to successfully punch a few more circular holes in the belt so it would fit his waist. The new holes don't match the shape of the default holes but he doesn't seem to care. The belt now fits his waist perfectly. The new holes are clean and precise, even though they're a different shape from the original holes.

Disappointed with this tool. The punch would not cut square with the plate. I had to jam a piece of aluminum foil where the head locks into place to keep it in line, but by the time I discovered this work around, the punch hole was bent from coming down on the plate crooked.

I have used this device on two leather (imitation leather) belts and the holes punched were near clean holes. I did not have to punch a hole more than twice. The hole punch itself is solidly made. It has substantial weight. The plastic grips are hard plastic, meaning not cheap plastic. The metal parts of the punch is just as the manufacturer states. This device has all the signs and feel and use of a professional punch that will last for years. I had a punch before this one and it actually fell apart in my hands after a few uses. Cheap plastic parts. This device though is genuine. This is worth every penny you pay; at least that is the way I feel about this punch.
