After reading another review I decided to send in my own. I don't like that to make an 8' length they butted three separate pieces up together to create 8'! Most quality oak railing are either solid or pieced together from the sides using 1/2" wide by 3" tall strips all glued together. from the top you see like 6-8 1/2" sections all glued together to form the handrail. In this particular model it is 3 short full sections glued end to end, making the railing look cheap once installed. If I would have known this before having it drop-shipped to the finisher I would have never bought it. Now that I see it and have it finished I'm stuck with it. Won't make the same mistake twice.
