Strong and sturdy, it definitely does the job. Although the ledge is a bit narrow for my OtterBox thickened smartphone, it still works. I just wouldn't recommend carrying it around on the stand or placing it on unstable surfaces. But that's pretty much true of all devices. I'll say it again, if you're looking for a sturdy, no nonsense stand, this will be a perfect case for you.
